SoCal Infrared is a Full Service Infrared Scanning Company based in North San Diego, California. With inspectors located in Orange/LA, San Diego and Riverside counties, we currently service all of Southern California. All of our Thermographers are Certified to a minimum Level I credential as specificed to ASNT standards by the Infrared Training Center. We currently service clients in many applications from Residential & Commercial construction defects to Veterinary Horse infrared scans. President & Chief ThermographerPeter Hopkins, a Level II Certified Thermographer is the Owner & President of InspecDoc Inspection Services, Inc. (www.inspecdoc.com), the parent company of SoCal Infrared. Peter has been in the building inspection and evaluation business for over 12 years. Currently servicing most of Southern California as multi-inspector firm with several of the inspectors certified in thermography. Peter completed a certificate major in Construction Inspection with Academic Honors from Palomar College in Southern California. Peter was the recipient of a Scholarship from ICC (International Code Council, www.iccsafe.org) and currently holds five certifications as a Residential Combination Inspector, Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Mechanical Inspector and Plumbing Inspector. Peter in addition is a Certified Electrical Inspector with IAEI (The International Association of Electrical Inspectors) and is a Certified HERS energy rater. Peter is a Certified CREIA Inspector and a New Construction Specialist with The California Real Estate Inspection Association (www.creia.org) and has served in various volunteer leadership positions within organization. Peter has personally performed over 6000 Real Estate evaluations and over 1000 energy audits in Southern California. Peter has been trained in Equine Thermography practices and is licensed as an Assistant to Veterinarian with the California Horse Racing Board. ThermographerBrad Tucholski, a Level I Certified Thermographer, has worked with InspecDoc Inspection Services since 1999 and has personally peformed over 8000 real estate evaluations. Having come from a Title Inspection background, Brad started Home Inspections in 1996 and further expanded into Energy Evaluations and Infrared Diagnostics. In addition to being a Thermographer, Brad is a Certified CREIA inspector, Certified HERS Energy Rater and has served in various leadership positions including President of the Inland Empires chapter of the California Real Estate Inspection Association.
ThermographerAndrew Sprowl, Level I Certified Thermographer joined InspecDoc in 2005 and was Certified in Thermography shortly after. Andrew has been trained in all applications currently serviced by SoCal Infrared.
Marketing, Infrared Service Coordinator, Flir Infrared Camera Sales, ThermographerJosh Pugh, a Level I Certified Thermographer joined SoCal Infrared in 2007 in the capacity of marketing support and sales. With SoCal Infrareds expansion with a product sales division, Josh compliments this division coming in with 15+ years manufactures sales experience. Josh was Certified in Thermography in 2008 and has been trained in all applications currently serviced by SoCal Infrared. Josh in addition is a Certified Energy Rater (HERS Rater) and performs Energy Evaluations for clients alike.
